Foregoing
when used intransitively, signifies either to “lead the way,” or “to go before, precede;” in Heb 7:18, it is used of the commandment of the Law (Heb 7:16), as preceding the bringing in of “a better hope” (RV, “foregoing”). See BRING, GO.
