FRUGALITY

Is the keeping due bounds in expenses; it is the happy mean between parsimony on the one hand, and prodigality on the other. The example of Christ, Joh 6:12. the injunctions of God’s word, Luk 15:1. Pro 18:9. the evil effects of inattention to it, Luk 11:1; Luk 11:13. the peace and comfort which arise from it, together with the good which it enables us to do to others, should operate as motives to excite us to the practice of it.
