Gifford, Richard
an English clergyman, was born in 1725, and was rector of North Okendon, Essex, in 1772. He died in 1807. He wrote remarks on Kennicott’s Dissertation on the Tree of Life in Paradise: Outlines of an Answer to Dr. Priestly’s Disquisitions on Matter and Spirit. See Allibone, Dict. of Brit. and Amer.
