Guam
Dependency of the United States, in the Mariana Archipelago, northern Pacific, under the jurisdiction of the United States Navy Department, with the naval commander acting as governor. Catholicism is the majority religion of the island, which comprises the Vicariate Apostolic of Guam, erected 1 March 1911, and entrusted to the Order of Friars Minor Capuchins . It was elevated to the diocese of Agaa on 14 October 1965 , and then to the archdiocese of Agaa on 8 November 1984 .
