He that
He that
the relative pronoun “who,” is sometimes rendered “he that,” e.g., Mat 10:38; with the particle an, expressing possibility, uncertainty or a condition, signifying “whosoever,” Mar 3:29, AV (RV, “whosoever”); Mar 4:25; Mar 9:40 (with an, in the best mss.). See WHATSOEVER, WHICH, WHO, WHOSOEVER.
“who even” (No. 1, and the particle ge), indicates a greater in regard to a less, Rom 8:32, “He that (spared not).”
Notes: (1) In Rev 13:10, ei tis, “if anyone,” is rendered “if any man” in the RV, for AV, “he that.”
(2) In Mat 23:12, hostis, No. 1, combined with the indefinite pronoun tis (see prceding note), is properly rendered “whosoever,” RV, for AV, “he that.”
