(Heb. id. . a city; Sept. v.r. , Vulg. Hir), the father of Shuppim (Shupham) and Huppim (Hupham), of the tribe of Benjamin (1Ch 7:12); probably identical with one of the sons of Benjamin (Gen 46:21), and therefore not (as often supposed) the same with Iri (1Ch 7:7).
