(Heb. Yizrachyah’, , sprout of Jehovah sc. into the world), the name of one or two men.

1. (Sept. ; Vulg. Israhia.) The son of Uzzi, and grandson of Tola, the son of Issachar (1Ch 7:3). B.C. cir. 1014. SEE OBADIAH.

2. (Sept. omits, but some copies have , others ; Vulg. Jezraja; A.V. Jezrahiah.) The superintendent of the singers (doubtless a Levite) who celebrated the completion of the walls of Jerusalem after the Exile (Neh 12:42). B.C. 446.
