Kiriath
Kiriath
KIRIATH is the st. constr. of Kiriah, the complement of which, -jearim, seems to have fallen out in Jos 18:28, from its resemblance to the word for cities which follows. Therefore we ought probably to read Kiriath-jearim, a reading supported by the LXX [Note: Septuagint.] .

Kiriath
kiri-ath (, kiryath, city; the King James Version Kirjath): Mentioned (Jos 18:28) as a city of Benjamin; has been identified with Kuriet el Enab, town of grapes, a prosperous town on the highroad between Jerusalem and Jaffa; it is sometimes spoken of by the inhabitants as Kurieh. It is, however, generally thought that Kiriath here stands for KIRIATH-JEARIM (which see). See PEF, III, 132, Sh XVII.
