Martyr , died London, 1582. He was of an ancient family of County Lancaster, England , celebrated for its devotion to the Faith. Educated at Oxford, he studied for the priesthood at Douai, and was ordained, 1577. He was sent to England , where he was arrested, 1581, accused of complicity in the pretended Rheims and Rome plot, and hanged.
