(Heb. Maay’, , perhaps compassionate Sept. has two names, , v, the first syllable of the former being apparently taken from the last of the preceding name Gilalai; Vulg. Maai), one of the priests appointed to perform the music at the celebration of the completion of the walls of Jerusalem after the captivity (Neh 12:36). B.C. 446.
