Machbenah

(Heb. Makbena’, , something bound on, perh. a cloak; Sept. v. r. ; Vulg. Maochbena), apparently a place in the tribe of Judah founded by (a person of that name, the son of) Sheva (1Ch 2:49), and probably situated in the vicinity of Gibeah, in connection with which it is mentioned. It is thought to have been the same with CABBON (Jos 15:40).
