Mart
(, sachar’, Isa 23:3; also spoken of what is gained from traffic, profit, wealth, merchandise, Pro 3:14; Isa 45:14), a trading-place or emporium. The root signifies to travel about as traders, buying and selling; thus pointing out at once the general character of the commerce of the East from the earliest age to the present.
