the superlative degree of polus, is used (a) as an adjective in Mat 11:20; Mat 21:8, RV, “(the) most part of” (AV, “a very great”); (b) in the neuter, with the article, adverbially, “at the most,” 1Co 14:27; (c) as an elative (i.e., intensively) in Mar 4:1 (in the best mss.; some have polus), “a very great (multitude).”
