Mount of the Amorites
(hill-country of the Amorites (Deu 1:7, Deu 1:20, Deu 1:24; compare Num 13:29; Jos 10:6, etc.)): The region intended is that afterward known as the hill country of Judah and Ephraim, but sometimes Amorites is used as a general designation for all the inhabitants of Canaan (Gen 15:16; Jos 24:8, Jos 24:18, etc.).
