(Heb. Onam’, , strong), the name of two men.

1. (Sept. in Genesis, in Chron.; v. r. , ), the last named of the five children of Shobal, son of Seir the Horite (Gen 36:23; 1Ch 1:40). B.C. cir. 1964.

2. (Sept. , v. r. ), son of Jerahmeel, of the tribe of Judah, by his wife Atarah, and father of Shammai and Jada (1Ch 2:26; 1Ch 2:28). B.C. ante 1658.
