the neuter of tachus, “swift, quick,” signifies “quickly,” Mat 5:25; Mat 28:7-8; Mar 9:39, RV (AV, “lightly”); Luk 15:22; Joh 11:29; Rev 2:16 (Rev 2:5 in some mss.); Rev 3:11; Rev 11:14; Rev 22:7, Rev 22:12, Rev 22:20. See LIGHTLY.

the comparative degree of No. 1, is translated “quickly” in Joh 13:27; “out(ran)” in Joh 20:4, RV, lit., “(ran before) more quickly (than Peter);” “shortly” in 1Ti 3:14; Heb 13:23; in Heb 13:19, “(the) sooner.” See SHORTLY.

lit., “in, or with, swiftness, with speed” (en, “in,” and the dative case of tachos, “speed”), is translated “quickly” in Act 12:7; Act 22:18; “speedily” in Luk 18:8; “shortly” in Act 25:4; Rom 16:20; 1Ti 3:14 in some texts; Rev 1:1; Rev 22:6.
