RESIGNATION

A submission without discontent to the will of God. The obligations to this duty arise from,

1. The perfections of God, Deu 32:4.

2. The purposes of God, Eph 1:11.

3. The commands of God, Heb 12:9.

4. The promises of God, 1Pe 5:7.

5. Our own interest, Hos 2:14-15.

6. The prospect of eternal felicity, Heb 4:9.
