Profile Pioneer of Catholic journalism in Scotland . He was a solicitor to the Supreme Court in Edinburgh, but after his conversion he devoted himself to literature. He founded and edited the Edinburgh Catholic Magazine, and the Catholic Directory for England . Edited the Dublin Review for a short time, and was the author of several articles defending Catholic doctrine.
