Society of Saint Raphael for Italian Immigrants

Emigrant aid society , founded in New York, 1891 , by the members of the Congregation of Saint Charles Borromeo. It maintains a home conducted by the Sisters of Charity (Pallottine) for the shelter of women and children ; men, while permitted to eat there, sleep elsewhere. A branch of the society was founded in Boston in 1902 .
