(Heb. Tach’an, , camp [Gesenius], or graciousness [Furst]), the name of two descendants of Ephraim.
1. (Sept. v.r. v; Vulg. Thehen.) The head of one of the families of the Ephraimites at the end of the Exode (Num 26:35). B.C. ante 1618. SEE TAHANITE.
2. (Sept. v.r. ; Vulg. Thaan.) Son of Telah and father of Laadan in the Palestinian lineage of Ephraim (1Ch 7:25). B.C. post 1618.
