. In 2Co 5:3-4 the reference is to a person raised from the dead and yet found morally ‘naked’ in his sins before God. In Mat 27:28; Luk 10:30, the A.V. has ‘stripped’ for the same Greek word.

2Co 5:4 (a) By this we understand the state of the spirit after it leaves the body. The body is represented as the clothing of the spirit. Four times in the Old Testament we read that “the spirit of God clothed Himself with . . .” The person becomes the house in which the Spirit of GOD lives. That person is always and only one who belongs to the Lord, and has been redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb.
