Ajah
(Hebrew Ayah’, , prop. a cry, hence a hawk, as often), the name of two men.
1. (Sept. ; but , Auth. Vers. “Aiah” in Chronicles) The first named of the two sons of Zibeon the Horite or rather Hivite (Gen 36:24; 1Ch 1:40), B.C. ante 1964.
2. (Sept. , but in 2Sa 3:7 v. r. , Auth. Vers. “Aiah.”) The father of Rizpah, King Saul’s concubine (2Sa 3:7; 2Sa 21:8-11), B.C. ante 1093.
