(Hebrews Athayah’, , perhaps the same as Asaiah; Sept. v), a son of Uzziah of the tribe of Judah, who returned to Jerusalem from Babylon (Neh 11:4). B.C. 536. SEE UTHAI.

a-thaya (, athayah = Yahweh is helper; , Athea, or , Athea): He is designated (Neh 11:4) as a descendant of Judah and the son of Uzziah. After the return from Babylon, he dwelt in Jerusalem. In 1Ch 9:4 his name is given as Uthai.
