Attent, Attentive
a-tent (archaic; 2Ch 6:40); a-tentiv: Expresses the direction of thought and interest toward some one point. Same Hebrew word as attend, and is used particularly in prayers (Psa 130:2; Neh 1:6). Very attentive (Luk 19:48) is a paraphrase for what is literally rendered in the Revised Version (British and American), the people all hung upon him, listening , exekremeto.
