Vicariate Apostolic founded 28 January 1913 , formerly the northern part of the Vicariate Apostolic of Nyassa; entrusted to the White Fathers. Name changed to the vicariate of Kasama on 10 July 1952 . Elevated to the diocese of Kasama on 29 April 1959 . Elevated to the archdiocese of Kasama on 12 June 1967 . See also:
