A town of Gad, E. of Jordan (Jos 13:27). Same as Bethharan (Num 32:36); ages later named Libias or Livias, from the emperor Augustus’ wife, Livia. In the wady Seir, which falls rate the Ghor, opposite Jericho.

A city of Gad, east of the Jordan, between Succoth and Debir. Jos 13:27: held to be the same as BETH-HARAN of Num 32:36. Identified with Tell Rameh, 31 50′ N, 35 38′ E.

Beth’-aram. (house of the height). Accurately Beth-Haram, one of the towns of Gad, on the east of Jordan, described as in “the valley,” Jos 13:27, and no doubt, the same place as that named Beth-Haran in Num 32:36.
