Town of Moab, near to one of the stations of the Israelites. It was assigned to Reuben, but was eventually secured by the Moabites. Num 33:49; Jos 12:3; Jos 13:20; Eze 25:9. Identified with Sueimeh, 31 47′ N, 35 35′ E.
