Dimnah
Dimnah
(Hebrews Dinznah’, , a dung-hill; Sept. , Vulg. Danna), a Levitical city of the tribe of Zebulon, assigned to the family of the Merarites (Jos 21:35). Gesenius, however, suggests that in this place we ought rather to read , Rimmonah, the REMMON SEE REMMON (q.v.) mentioned in a similar connection in Jos 19:13; 1Ch 6:62 (see Bertheau, Chronic, pages 72, 73; Movers, Chronik, page 72).

Dimnah
[Dim’nah]
Levitical city of Zebulun, Jos 21:35; but it is not mentioned in the cities of this tribe in Jos 19:10-16, and in the Levitical cities of Zebulun in 1Ch 6:77 the name of RIMMON occurs, which makes it appear probable that the two names refer to the same place.
