Dorymenes
(), father of Ptolemy, surnamed Macron (1Ma 3:38; 2Ma 4:45). As this Ptolemy was in the service of Ptolemy Philometor, king of Egypt, before he deserted to Antiochus Epiphanes, it is possible that his father is the same Dorymenes who fought against Antiochus the Great (Polyb. 5:61).
