( v.r. ,Vulg. Azarias), the son of Helchiah and father of Saraias, in the ancestry of Esdras (1Es 8:1); evidently the high priest AZARIAH SEE AZARIAH (q.v.) of the Hebrews text (Ezr 7:1).
