[Gath-rim’mon]
1. Levitical city in the southern territory of Dan. Jos 19:45; Jos 21:24.
2. Levitical city in Manasseh, west of the Jordan. Jos 21:25. In 1Ch 6:69 there is also a Gath-rimmon given to the Levites, situate in the tribe of Ephraim; but this does not agree with Joshua, and by comparing the two lists, this appears to be the same as No. 1. in Dan. Then in verse 70 is the name of BILEAM, (q.v. ) and this is supposed to be the same place as Gath-rimmon in Jos 21:25.
