Glycas, Michael
( ), a Byzantine historian, probably of the 12th century, was a native either of Constantinople or Sicily (hence called Sictulus). He wrote some letters to the last Constantine, and a History ( ), in four parts, from the Creation to the death of Alexis I Comnentus (1118), first published in a Latin translation by Leunslavius (Basle, 1572, 8vo; best ed. by Bekker, in the Bonn collection of the Byzantines, 1836, 8vo).
