(Heb. Hamonah’, , multitude; Sept. translates , Vulg. Amon), a name figuratively assigned to the sepulchral city of the valley in which the slaughter and burial of the forces of Gog are prophetically announced to take place (Eze 39:16), emblematical of the multitude of graves (compare Joe 3:14).
