(Heb. Chasadyah’, ,favored by Jehovah; Sept. ), one of the five sons of Pedaiah. (not of Zerubbabel, who was a sixth), of the descendants of David (1Ch 3:20); probably the same otherwise called JUSHAB-HESED in the same verse (see Strong’s Harm. and Expos. of the Gospels, p. 17). B.C. cir. 536.
