Hessians
Inhabitants of Hesse, descendants of the Chatti. They were converted by Saints Lubentius and Goar, but their chief missionary was Saint Boniface. They formed minor states as Hesse-Darmstadt and Hesse-Nassau. During the Revolution Hessian troops were hired by England to help hold her American colonies.
