Hodgson, Robert, D.D
was dean of Carlisle in 1820, but the date of his birth is not known. He published mainly his sermons (London, 1803-42), and edited the works of his uncle, bishop Porteus, of London, with his life (Lond. 1816, 6 vols. 8vo), of whom he also published a biography (Lond. 1811, 8vo).
