lod-eus (, Loddeus; Swete reads Laadaos with Doldaos as variant in Codex Alexandrinus; the King James Version Daddeus, Saddeus): The captain, who was in the place of the treasury. Ezra sent to him for men who might execute the priests’ office (1 Esdras 8:46); called Iddo in Ezr 8:17.
