Miris modis repente liber, ferrea
Hymn for Vespers on 1 August , feast of Saint Peter in Chains. It is one stanza of the hymn “Felix per omnes featum mundi cardines.” The hymn is attributed to Saint Paulinus, Patriarch of Aquileia (726-802). There are three translations of the entire hymn; the English title given is by T. Potter.
