(Heb. id. , prop. a sheaf, as in Lev 23:10, etc., from , to bind or gather; Sept. ; Vulg. gonzer), a Hebrew dry measure (Exo 16:16; Exo 16:18; Exo 16:22; Exo 16:32-33), the tenth of an ephah (Exo 16:36); therefore about two quarts according to the rabbins, but three and a half quarts according to Josephus.
