Rietter, Anton a German Roman Catholic theologian, was born at Stadt-am-Hof in 1808. He studied at Regensburg and Munich; was appointed professor of moral philosophy at Amberg in 1835, at Regensburg in 1842, and at Munich in 1852. He died at Stadt-am-Hof, Nov. 6, 1866.
