Matthew of Westminster

Matthew of Westminster Supposed author of the English chronicle “Flores Historiarum.” The misunderstanding regarding this imaginary personage originated with a copyist who, perceiving that part of the chronicle was written at Westminster, while another portion followed the history of Matthew Paris, concluded that Matthew was himself a monk of Westminster.
