Thomas Sanchez

Thomas Sanchez Jesuit theologian. Born in 1550 Cordova, Spain; died in 19 May 1610 in Granada. Author of an exhaustive treatise on marriage and of works on moral theology, he was unjustly accused of immoral teachings, especially concerning “mental reservation.” His life was an example of holiness. Thomas O’Hagan

Thomas O’Hagan First Baron O’Hagan of Tullxhogue; born Belfast, Ireland, 1812; died 1885. After editing the “Newry Examiner,” he made rapid progress at the Bar, and, 1868, was appointed Lord Chancellor of Ireland, the first Catholic to hold that office since the days of James II.
