Spada, Giambattista brother of Bernardino, born at Lucca, Aug. 27, 1597, likewise became an ecclesiastic, and was made governor of Rome in 1635, president of the Romagna in 1644, cardinal in 1652, and bishop of Rimini and Palestrina.
