PATHOS

PATHOS is, when an orator or writer betrays or manifests a more prominent emotion and excited feeling of the mind. is also applied to the Affection itself, which is a more vehement feeling either of any pleasure or of a pain; and its parts are four: two arising out of pleasure, love and joy; two also out of pain, hatred and sorrow.
