Ponder

Ponder

Ponder

ponder: Occurs in the King James Version 5 times in the Book of Proverbs and nowhere else in the Old Testament. In each case it means to consider carefully, to weigh mentally. In Pro 4:26 and Pro 5:21, the Revised Version (British and American) substitutes make level. In Pro 5:6, it drops out entirely in the Revised Version (British and American). In Pro 21:2 and Pro 24:12, weigh is substituted for ponder. The one New Testament passage is Luk 2:19; here the Revised Version (British and American) has pondering where the King James Version has and pondered.
