Progressive Spiritual Church

Progressive Spiritual Church

Founded in Chicago, Illinois on 5 March 1907, by Rev. G. V. Cordingley, one of the organizers of the Illinois State Spiritualist Association. The church “was founded primarily to lift spiritualism above mere pyschic research, establish it on a sound, religious basis, and secure its recognition among other Christian denominations.” They observe the sacraments of baptism, marriage, spiritual communion, and funeral.
