Martyrs , died Milan, Italy , c.165. They were the sons of Saint Vitalis and Saint Valeria. The Roman general, Astasius, came to Milan, and ordered the death of all Christians . Gervasius was beaten with leaden whips and Protasius was beheaded. Saint Ambrose , guided by a dream, discovered their burial place and transferred their remains to the basilica, which he built at Milan in 386 .
