Ramathite
(Heb. Ramathi’, , al inhubit(nt of Ramab; Sept. ), all epithet of the Shimei (q.v.) who was over the vineyards of king David (1Ch 27:27). The name implies that he was native of a place called Ramah, but of the vaniouts Ramahs mentioned none is said to have been remarkable for vines; nor is there any tradition or other clue by which the particular Ramahi to which this worthy belonged call be identified.
