Ramothgilead
Ramothgilead
A city in the mountain of Gilead. In Jos 13:26, it is called Ramathmizpeh; that is, the watchtower. This was one of the cities of refuge. (Deu 4:43) It became the subject and occasion of much war in the after-days of the kings. (1Ki 22:1-53 2Ki 8:1-29 2Ki 9:1-37) There was a son of Bani called Ramoth. (Ezr 10:29)
