Saint Edmund’s College

Ware, England. Established as Old Hall Green Academy in 1769. Reconstructed and chartered as Saint Edmund’s College in 1193 by Bishop Douglass to continue the work of Douai in southern England. In 1869 it became simply a school for boys but was restored as a theological seminary by Archbishop Bourne in 1905. After World War I the existing buildings were repaired and new schools and halls were added.
